The m-audio fast track pro is recognized by my computer now. Now I have to figure out the cool edit pro. Thaks Goat and Jim for helping! 

Cool Edit Pro is awesome!  I use Adobe Audition 2 which is basically the same program renamed.  Great choice on software!
